Harry Browne's weekly radio show
From August 9, 1998 to February 13, 2000, Harry Browne hosted a weekly radio program on Sunday nights,
broadcast on the 60 stations of the Talk America Radio Network and carried live over the Internet.
The show was conducted in the normal call-in format. Harry discussed
current events and social/political issues -- approaching them from a
libertarian standpoint -- and callers offered their opinions, questions,
and criticisms. The object was to provide listeners with a better
understanding of how Libertarians are trying to set them free to control
their own lives and their own money. Harry hoped that the broadcast
would also generate membership leads for the Libertarian Party.
Listeners were encouraged to call in or send an email message during the course of the show.
Questions were raised, objections were offered, friendly arguments
were waged; the goal was to have a lively show.
Harry continues to be very grateful to the show's sponsors: chain store
Cigarettes Cheaper!,
coin dealer
Monex International, hard-disk supplier Glide/Write, and publisher
LiamWorks.
